BIOGRAPHY
About the artist
Jerry Dixon for hire
Jerry has been playing and singing most of his life.  Self taught on guitar at age 13, by age 17 he was working as a professional.  Toured with several national groups.  Started doing some professional studio work at age 18.  But during college decided to pursue a career in Film and Television.  He was a successful cinematographer, having worked in and out of Hollywood.  But he still maintained professional music ties and always stayed working with various bands and acts.  He left the motion picture industry in 1989 to work as a representative for several companies that manufactured equipment for film, broadcast and audio visual endeavors.  He still works in that role today.

While working on the side in recording and live music, Jerry got to rejoin with life long fellow muscian and friend to form Olde & in the Way in 2012.  This has been a fun and moderately successful endeavor. The band continues to perform on a regular basis in the Santa Fe/Albuquerque area.  Jerry's solo work is related to the endeavors of the band.  Jerry is a skilled vocalist and guitarist, playing multiple styles and genres of music.  He has a nice studio in the area, and owns over 30 guitars, banjos and mandolins.  His favorite genre: Jazz.  But likes all music.
No matter what the event, Jerry Dixon is certainly one performer you should consider.  Not only is he professional in every way, has a great voice, and plays killer guitar, but he's just a nice, friendly guy.  If a single performer is quite what you want, Jerry will bring in the band. Weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, partys, corporate events, or just about any function.
